Background Information
Tex is a fictional Oil rig created by Andrew Cochran.
Behind The Scenes
Tex's was scratch built with a plastic and Perspex by Fred Allen. The model was most cost to making of set and tallest height to person's scale. The eye merchanism of model was not moving which the visible of derrick was not carried wires.
After Theodore and the Oil Rig was finished, the model was in create studio then Cochran had new character was Owan and replacing of character role. and the model Tex was change to Owan in filming of series 1, and legs of model added two of it. the parts of set and crane repaint to red.
After Theodore Tugboat's production had ended, Tex's model current as Owan were on display at The Maritime Museum of The Atlantic. But in 2002 Owan's display had collapsed, the models have been in storage ever since.
