- — Theodore counting while Hank holds his breath
Hank's Hiccups is the eighth episode of the third season.
Plot
Theodore, George and Hank are bringing a container ship named Jennifer into the Big Harbour. But just as they are preparing to turn, Hank hiccups and bumps into Jennifer. Jennifer is angry about that. Hank starts having hiccups and giggles about it. Then when they prepare to dock Jennifer, Hank hiccups into her again. Jennifer tells him to stop bumping into her. George dismisses Hank, and he sadly goes back to the dock.
As soon as Theodore and George finish moving Jennifer, Theodore goes to see Hank. Theodore suggests that he tries holding his breath while he counts to 100. Hank does so, but Theodore can't count that high very well and gets jumbled up. Then he sees Hank having a hard time holding his breath and quickly says 100. Hank releases his breath, but he still hiccups. Theodore has to go back to work unfortunately and hopes Hank's hiccups go away soon as the Big Harbour is very busy. Hank hopes the same thing. So, he goes to Donald Dock and ask him how to get rid of his hiccups. He asks him if he should ask Rebecca the research vessel, Foduck, or Bedford buoy. But the only thing Donald ever says is "Uh-huh." Believing he's helped him; Hank goes to see Bedford. Then George appears and suggest that Hank should go backwards. So, Hank does, but then he hiccups into Fundy the fishing troller and makes him wobble. Hank quickly apologizes to Fundy and explains that he's trying to get rid of his hiccups. Fundy says pretty strange things and tells Hank "The watched fishing line never catches the cod." And woozily continues on his way. However, neither he, Hank or George notice that his fishing net fell into the water.
Hank is still hiccupping as he floats around the harbour, wondering if they'll ever go away. Then he lets out a huge hiccup which cause him to spin into Phillip and Filmore the ferry twins. They tell him to try spinning in circles for a really long time. And they say it as they finish each other's sentences, which they always do. Hank does what they suggest. At one moment, he thinks they're gone. But the next, they're not. Phillip and Filmore are disappointed that it didn't work and continue on their way.
Hank goes back to the dock still hiccupping. Then Foduck scares him and sprays his fire hose at him. Foduck asks if he scared Hank's hiccups away. It seems like they are gone, but they're not as Hank hiccups again. Foduck goes back to work and tells him that they really need his help. Hank is depressed as he did what everyone told him to do, and nothing has worked. He fears he may have them for the rest of his life. He sadly goes back to the dock, but then lets out a huge hiccup and splashes Donald. The Dispatcher suddenly calls for Hank and tells him Fundy's fishing net is in the water and Theodore and Emily are bringing in a ship. He needs to go get Bobby barge and get it out of the water, or else the ship will get snagged into it. Hank says he can't as he has the hiccups. The Dispatcher tells him there's no one else to get Fundy's net but him. And gives Hank encouragement that he can do it. Hank knows it's up to him and goes to pick up Bobby from his dock.
Hank ties his line on Bobby and races to the rescue. Theodore and Emily are pulling a ship named Colchester into the harbour. Suddenly, Emily sees Fundy's net in the water and shouts to Theodore to stop pulling. Theodore tries to stop, but Colchester's weight and girth are dragging them closer to the net, and Hank can tell they won't be able to stop in time. He pulls Bobby next to the net, and quickly, Bobby picks up the net and hauls it onto his deck. Hank quickly pulls him out of the way. And just in time before Colchester slams into Bobby. At last, Colchester stops and thanks Hank for his rescue by blasting his horn. Theodore and Emily are thrilled for Hank, and Theodore says he did it, and Hank is happy too as he finally got rid of his hiccups. Theodore meant getting the net out of the way. Hank sees that and realizes he was so busy trying to save the ship, he forgot he even had hiccups. Then Fundy arrives and sees his net on Bobby. And when he says all's well that ends well, Hank agrees saying he's glad that those hiccups have ended.

Goofs
- When the Harbour Master says "It seems that he had the hiccups for a very long time", he passes Constance and a faceless boat but in the next scene, he passes Constance again and the faceless boat is nowhere to be seen.
- When the tugs are whistling at the end, George and Foduck's whistles can be heard, but they are not there.
- In the whole scene where Theodore and Emily were moving Colchester, the container ship, Hank and Bobby seem to be several yards away. They are both still several yards away when the ship is approaching the net. So it looks like that there might not be enough time for Hank and Bobby to haul the fishing net out of their way, and during several shots, Theodore, Emily and the ship are a few feet away from the fishing net. The ship and the two tugs keep moving positions just to give enough time for Bobby to haul the fishing net.
- Also, in the shot of Bobby hauling the fishing net out of the water, Colchester, Theodore and Emily have stopped completely if you look real close at their reflection in the water.
- When Fundy is floating away after losing his net, the camera shakes.
